As we said a couple of months ago, we are now back in Erbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan, a fascinating country which is giving us great professional satisfaction.
In these days we are working on two fronts: our technicians are taking care of the ordinary maintenance for the fountains of a private villa just outside the city center and are realizing a new mist-scaping system at the Empire World Center fountains
The villa in question is a splendid and luxurious building located on a hill just a few kilometers outside of Erbil, on a place with a wonderful view of the city.
Forme d’Acqua was commissioned by Falcon Construction for the technological design and construction of the four aquatic environments of the villa.
The four impressive projects were designed by Cracknell Studio in Dubai while Forme d’Acqua took care of the plants’ technical design and the actual implementation of the fountains.
Once the work was completed, the client decided to continue the partnership with Forme d’Acqua and to entrust us with the maintenance of the Roundabout, River, Waterfall and Watergarden, choosing the guarantee of a continuous, punctual and efficient assistance.
Roundabout welcomes the visitor at the entrance of the villa; a majestic fountain, where the water creates an overflow along its oval slate perimeter. At the center of the fountain a natural fossil wood sculpture that is mirrored inside the fountain itself.
River is a marble staircase; water flows on it and accompanies with its sweet rustle the guests along the way to the villa. It develops for a length of 70 meters and covers a height of 9 meters, simulating the path of a river, from the source to the valley.
Waterfall is an impressive 36 meter linear waterfall made of black basalt, implemented with 12 OASE Aquamax Professional 40000 pumps that move a total of 480,000 liters per hour.
Watergarden is a real artificial lake with an area of about 80 square meters, conceived to allow life in its water. The sterilization of water is carried out by a self-cleaning Bitron C UV lamp that let some fishes live inside the lake.
Once this first part of the work is over, our technicians will have to return to the Empire World, the multi-function center that is rising right in front of the historical city of Erbil, as we have been asked to implement the recent fountains with a new mist-scaping plant.
It is a system made of very particular nozzles that atomize microscopic high pressure water drops into a thin mist. This creates a fog around the fountains and gives them an extremely fascinating aspect especially at night thanks to the RGB LED lights system. The plant also nebulising the water helps to cool down the environment, giving a pleasant refreshing effect.
Last but not least we will provide the Empire World project managers with the necessary training for the management of the plant’s electronic control unit. However, we will continue to monitor in real time the fountains of the Empire 24/7 thanks to remote controls installed.
Our client insisted for Forme d’Acqua to take care of the fountains despite the two countries being so far away-
