A dynamic fountain to complete the redevelopment of the new square of the Rimini railway station
Forme d’Acqua Venice Fountains has created a scenographic dynamic floor fountain, which completes the redevelopment project of the new square of the Rimini railway station, transforming it into the business card for all visitors who arrive in the city by train. An intervention that renews this strategic urban area and makes a contribution to the development of a sustainable city.
Monday September 7th Forme d’Acqua Venice Fountains – the Cavallino-Treporti company that exports made in Italy all over the world with its tailor-made fountains – was in Rimini, at the inauguration of the new square of the railway station, where has created a scenographic dynamic floor fountain. The creation of the new square aims to redevelop the urban area, transforming it into the business card for all visitors who arrive in the city by train.
Forme d’Acqua Venice Fountains, in collaboration with architects Silvia Maria Ripa and Felipe Lozano of Studio Via Ingegneria in Rome, was responsible for the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic (M.E.P. design) design and construction of the water features. A floor fountain with twelve dynamic nozzles that create original scenographic effects, with heights reaching three and a half meters, enhanced by LED spots that vary color and intensity according to the chosen choreography, thanks to a controller that allows you to create and program games customized lights and water shapes.
Through an innovative technology, a safe, long-lasting and sustainable fountain has been created: thanks to the filtration and recirculation system, the water is collected, filtered, automatically balanced in the acid and chlorine values and put back into circulation, thus ensuring sustainable management of water resources. In addition, an anemometer adjusts the height of the jets in proportion to the wind speed.
Gianluca Orazio, CEO of Forme d’Acqua, tells us: “With our fountains we bring beauty and well-being, without forgetting that water is a precious asset, which must be safeguarded and managed carefully. Having participated in the redevelopment of such an important urban area for the city of Rimini makes us proud and we are sure that all the people who leave the station will return the welcome offered by the water games with pleasant amazement and a smile on their faces “.
The operation, worth over one and a half million euros, is fully financed by RFI (Rete Ferroviaria Italiana) and is part of the first phase of the memorandum of understanding for the redevelopment and urban transformation of the entire area, signed between the Municipality of Rimini, RFI, FS Sistemi Urbani Srl and the Emilia Romagna Region. With this project, Rimini has enriched its experiential potential and has given its citizens and travelers a safe corner of the city, which infuses tranquility and well-being, but above all fun and beauty, thanks to the floor fountains that with their enchanting water games and lights accompany the days and the comings and goings of people.
