Salone del mobile 2022, the exhibition dedicated to interior design
ended with a great inflow of people and enthusiasm for the new projects on display. Forme d'Acqua contributed to creating a system of fountains and tubs
for the stand of Kohler
, the American design powerhouse that specializes in bathroom design and furniture that appointed Freesmeier Projects, Inc
as executive producer, and then commissioned Standgreen Srl
for the fabrication of the booth in the Milan fair.
Standgreen commissioned Forme d’Acqua to create a suggestive water wall
and a system of overflow basins. The Waterfall
, the focal point
of the space, invites visitors to connect the installation, a complex but playful system of water jets and collection and overflow basin, interspersed with an aquatic oasis
The large rainwall “Waterfall”
was contained in a glass case that emphasizes the runoff:
the water flows inside a structure in powder-coated AISI304 steel, built together with the partner Franzato Srl
, a structure that contains the overflow basin and the collection from which the water starts again and rises to restart the water play. The structure is set up with an anti-splash and delivery net for water loading and unloading; in the bottom of the tubs black pebbles of recycled plastic have been placed, light and decorative.
In this vignette, the tubs are functional for the enhancement
of Kohler's faucets: the use of fountains and water in the stand does not override the displayed objects but is a value-added that accompanies the bathroom furnishing. The design of the booth allows a total view, from different angles of the components on display.
The recirculation system
of the fountains allows the constant reuse of the water
collected in the basins, replenished only for evaporation. The use of reusable components and pebbles made of recycled plastic improves the sustainability of the project.
