Description
There are various ways to decorate the garden, large or small, depending on your needs and personal tastes you can draw endless possibilities, all always respecting the environment and aimed at creating a corner of relax and well-being. Basically, the fountain is the most requested design element, thanks to its being extremely customizable and the strong emotional impact it generates. At the same time, the pond remains the object of desire for many, especially gardeners, a blue point that enhances the surrounding greenery and becomes the cradle of many varieties of aquatic plants and animals.
For this project we went to the Marche region, to Casette d’Ete (FM), contacted by architect Francesco Paoletti, who was completing the design of a private country estate exteriors which included a pond to complete the concept aimed at creating a place to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Forme d’Acqua Venice Fountains took care of the design and creation of the pond: first of all it carried out an inspection to identify the best position in which to build it, because it must be exposed to the sun for 4/6 hours during the day (if it were in a completely sunny area an excessive growth of algae would be favoured) and possibly in a position beaten by the wind, which favours the oxygenation of the water.
After this first important phase, we moved on to the design, which led to the creation of a water garden that extends over 150m2. Created a harmonious rounded shape, the ground was dug on three different levels to favour the differentiation of aquatic plants, the sealing of the edges and safety. The border built on three different wide and flat levels, allows barefoot entry into the pond, both for cooling down and for extraordinary maintenance. With a geotextile sheet of 450 m2 Oase EuroFol EPDM of 1 mm the isolation and protection of the seabed and walls was provided.
To ensure proper water cleaning, a filtration system consisting of two pumps Oase AquaMax Eco Premium 12000 has been created, each housed in a surface aspirator Oase BioSys Skimmer installed in the edge of the pond, conneted to a Oase BioTec ScreenMatic 90000 220V 5W. The high energy efficiency UVC sterilizer Oase Bitron Eco 120W 220V applies an intensive treatment for suspended algae, turbid substances and bacteria harmful to plants and aquatic flora.
The water level is kept constant by an Oase 20-4 level sensor with 11/2 "FF solenoid valve and an overflow made inside one of the BioSys Skimmers.
To further enhance the pond and could to admire it during the evening hours, a lighting system was installed consisting of nine Oase LunAqua Power LED W spotleds connected to three Oase LunAqua Power LED Drivers 30W, which create a perfect natural light to emphasize the shapes of the pond and the slight movements of the plants.
Thanks to a 220V control panel it is possible to manage the fountain, filtration and automatic loading with stop for dry motors.
To complete the work, the expert in ornamental plants Anna Paradisi identified the aquatic species that best suited the context and that offered different colors and blooms in each season, in order to give the water garden an always new look accordingly to the period and could to admire it constantly with renewed amazement. The choice of plants was fundamental, as well as for decorative purposes, especially for the natural process of phytodepuration of the pond, which helps to maintain the balance between nature and human intervention.
