Dynamic floor fountain
Recco, Genoa
Description
The dynamic floor fountain of Recco is part of an urban redevelopment project and represents an advanced example of integrated design and technology. This installation, designed to enhance the waterfront and the new pedestrian area of the municipality of Recco, is the key element in the transformation of the area into a center of attraction for events and shows.
The fountain stands out for its square shape and the elegant composition of 9 nozzles arranged in 3 rows, with a symmetrical distribution that allows the perfect creation of dynamic effects of lights and water. Each nozzle is powered by an independent pump, with a 24V IP68 system that guarantees reliability and safety even in outdoor environments and in constant contact with water. The low-consumption pumps operate independently of each other, offering precise control of the water and optimizing not only performance, but also energy efficiency.
The boxes containing the technological parts of the fountain (pumps, nozzles and lights) are made of AISI316L steel. Their surface is suitable for vehicles and they are also equipped with a sheet metal cover, to be used in case of special events to preserve the technical components of the fountain.
Even the fountain lighting is advanced, with spotLED RGB+White by Teclumen, equipped with IP68 DMX control, for smooth and versatile management of the lights. The lighting fixtures are made of glass and AISI316L steel treated with nanotechnologies, to make them resistant to treated water and guarantee a long life over time.
The fountain is equipped with a highly efficient filtration system, consisting of an Astralpool Victoria Plus Silent pump and a glass sand filter. The entire system is connected to a panel with a double dosing pump for automatic chlorination and acidification of the water, with a control probe and automatic in-line replenishment.
A stainless steel custom-designed above-ground technical compartment features a double ventilated front door and an internal separating element dedicated to the electrical panel only.
The redevelopment project for the Recco seafront presents an innovative combination of urban design elements and sustainability. Pedestrianization, together with the removal of architectural barriers, promotes greater accessibility and use of the public space.
Along with the large chessboard, the central element of this redevelopment is the fountain, which is not limited to being a simple ornamental component, but becomes a dynamic attraction thanks to the choreographies of water and light programmed by Forme d’Acqua. With its innovative and functional design, the fountain fits perfectly into the context of the waterfront, contributing to regenerating the area.
