The second fountain created for the Grand Hotel Dino in Baveno is an artistic fountain enclosed by a refined Secret Garden. It is designed to offer guests a unique experience of tranquillity and beauty, to be enjoyed both upon arrival and departure, to savour one last moment of luxurious peace. Immersed in a scenic green backdrop, we find Catene, the fountain characterised by a long flow of water that invites discovery and contemplation.

The fountain is more than a simple decorative element: it is a work of art that represents the visual and sensorial fulcrum of the garden. Its unique design, which combines natural materials and refined details, integrates perfectly with the surrounding environment, evoking a sense of harmony and balance.

The artistic fountain is composed of a central basin above ground in the shape of a four-leaf clover in white Di Montorfano granite, on which stands a minimalist sculpture with simple shapes and clean lines, composed of a pedestal in the shape of a parallelepiped that supports a stone sphere.

On two opposite sides of the pool, there are two slots from which the water flows out and begins its journey along two perfectly symmetrical and specular steps, formed by 7 “chains” each, which flow into two collection tanks at floor level. The “Chains” are interlocking stone modules, 15cm high and with rounded external profiles, which create small overflows that recall waterfalls. These two long water steps follow the flooring that goes from +80cm to 0.

Overlooking the collection tank on the right, we find the musical dancing fountain, which completes the aesthetics and visually closes the area dedicated to the Secret Garden.

The water jets move like fluid chains, which continuously dissolve and reform, and are inspired by the Catena del Gambero located in the Mannerist Garden of Villa Lante di Bagnaia (VT).

The fountain is a closed circuit, thanks to a filtration and recirculation system, which takes water from the two collection tanks, cleans it of dirt and debris and sends it back to the central raised tank. The water is replenished only when needed and is kept clear and free of limescale and algae thanks to an automatic panel that reads the Ph and Redox values ​​present and adjusts them automatically.

The lighting chosen is functional to transform the Secret Garden into a magical place in the evening: the central basin has 4 RGB+White LED spots, while the edges of the chains are illuminated by 18 flexible White 3000K LED bars of 18 cm with transparent resin-coated AISI316 steel profiles. Each element of the garden has been carefully chosen to create an environment that stimulates the senses and relaxes the mind, making the guests' stay not only a luxury experience but also an emotional journey.

A fountain at the entrance of a hotel not only adds to the aesthetics of the space but also helps define the identity of the hotel, making it easily recognisable, enhancing the atmosphere and offering guests a welcoming and unique experience. Associated with luxury and elegance, a fountain elevates the perception of the level of service and quality offered by the hotel, but above all, it becomes a visually attractive focal point, leaving a positive and unforgettable first impression. Fountains also serve as a pleasant meeting point for guests, creating an ideal space for socialising or relaxing, thanks to the calming effect generated by the sound of flowing water.
